A Story to Tell

Our last meeting before Thread Running Through opens at Cliffe Castle, Keighley on Saturday 9th November.  This was our chance to see the final pieces (or almost complete pieces) and decide where and how to hang them.  Lots of wall hangings this time with beautiful details stitched, woven or printed onto fabric.

Each piece has a story to tell, a little bit of history that might have gone unnoticed: Windows in mills; an obsession with monograms; shawls and aprons worn by workers and mistresses. 

Textilia 3 invite you to meet the artists on Saturday 9th November from 12 noon and learn about how and why each piece was made.
