Unravelling our work - an opportunity to meet the artists
Come and meet artists Margaret Laycock and Maggie Redpath on Saturday 25th July and Saturday 5th September 2026. They will be on hand to explain how they interpreted the fabric of East Riddlesden Hall in their own unique style. Maggie Redpath is an avid collector of embroidered samplers and she has taken a contemporary view of life with her work The Tree of Knowledge and The Money Tree. Margaret Laycock's work is all about layering and embellishment to create texture in a largely monochrome palette. The intricate plaster ceilings of the hall caught her attention and she has used her collection of vintage fabrics and lace to tell her story.
