Patched and pieced treasures

 

Textilia 3 members spent a lovely Saturday morning at Left Bank Leeds demonstrating how to make English paper-pieced patchwork.  Our visitors chose from a selection of pre-prepared hexagons and stitched them together making their own patterns and colour combinations.  We had lots of thoughtful conversations about favourite clothes and fabrics and the memories they hold.  Patchwork is a great way to preserve and re-purpose treasured scraps of material.
