It was a very small group of us that met this month, but whilst limited in number we were not short of ideas.  We chose to focus on the work in progress towards our new exhibition 'SELF'.  It turns out that it's not very easy to turn the spotlight on ourselves and after a number of faulty starts and dead ends, some lovely pieces are starting to emerge.  The intimacy of the group created a safe space to open up some of our most personal thoughts and memories, whilst the support of the other members helped to realise vague ideas.  As we parted, we left with words of wisdom and encouragement, able to take some positive steps forward.

Claire's work is centred around her love of cooking and inspired by a back-handed compliment from her grandad.
