SELF exhibition opens at The Station Richmond

No time to wait!  Lots of new pieces of work have been added to Textilia 3's SELF exhibition which opens today (Friday 3rd March 2023) at The Station Richmond, North Yorkshire.  The display cabinets are full of gorgeous items for sale: scarves, jewellery, purses, sketchbooks and the most delightful Baba Yaga huts (with feet!) from Jo.

Linda Dewart

Linda has captured the vibrant colours and rich texture of architecture by printing photographs onto silk and embellishing with stitch.  Her unique fabrics have become wall art and wearable scarves.

Other new works include Annie's beautifully observed butterflies which have been hand embroidered and mounted in a naturalistic setting.  Sue has made a number of companion pieces to her re-worked christening gown exploring themes of motherhood and Jan has used eco-dying techniques to conjure memories of home and garden.
