Last Chance to See

Linda Dewart

As we march towards the end of the year, there are just 3 more weeks to see our fabulous TREASURED exhibition at Farfield Mill, Sedbergh.  Celebrating the textiles that we hoard and the tools that we use, there is a story to tell in all of the items that we have created.

Gemma Kelmanson

Like many of us, Gemma has bought many luscious pieces of fabric over the years, taking them out from time to time to admire them but never making the a cut.  She has bravely taken the first steps and used her skills to patchwork and manipulate to show them to their best advantage.

Julie Coghlan

Claire and Julie have both chosen to focus the tools that we use in our creative lives, putting them at the centre of our work rather than a means to an end.

Jo has used her wonderful gift of storytelling to re-imagine the treasures that might have been taken on the last journey of a local queen, long-buried on the moors of Yorkshire.  Every stitch and each item have their own song to sing.

We hope you enjoy your visit to Farfield Mill and wish everyone a very Happy Christmas!
