Textilia member Julie Asquith has been super-busy during the Summer.  She has launched her own shop on Etsy with a stunning range of knitwear designed and made by her in the Lake District.

Julie qualified as a Surface Pattern Designer and then followed this with a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Applied Arts specialising in textile design.  "Birds have played a big part in my upbringing" says Julie "but only in recent times have I appreciated their beauty and variety.  The patterns and colours on the green woodpecker provided me with the inspiration to design a range of knitted fashion accessories."  Her garden bird series can be purchased from her Etsy shop Julie Asquith Coghlan
