Self

The Oxford dictionary defines SELF, when used as a noun, as a person's essential being that distinguishes them from others, especially considered as the object of introspection or reflexive action.  However when SELF is used as an adjective for example of a trimming or cover, it describes the same material and colour as the rest of the item.

How do you describe yourself?  What makes you YOU?  Is it what distinguishes you or makes you blend in?  We hope to answer this with a new body of work that will be exhibited at the end of 2022.  Textilia 3 members Jo and Catherine S have already been inspired to explore this theme with illustration and sketch books showing our diverse approach to subject matter.
